Ice cream shop in Baltimore implicated in Lamar Jackson-Ravens . story

The city of Baltimore is still behind Lamar Jackson, including those selling frozen desserts.

Christina Tkacik of the Baltimore Banner revealed this week that The Charmery, a local ice cream chain with several stores in Baltimore, has a notable new Jackson-themed flavor called "PAY LAMAR".

The flavor, which has a caramel and peanut butter base with chopped peanuts and chocolate chips that make it taste like a Payday candy bar, was inspired by Jackson's ongoing contract story with Raven.

“[We] love Lamar and would love to see him stay in Baltimore,” said David Alima, co-owner of Charmery. [He] deserves every bit of money he feels he deserves. Whatever he thinks he's worth, I agree with him."

The dairy activism program comes amid years (at least as of January 2021) of complex and ultimately fruitless contract negotiations between Jackson and Raven.

Earlier this week, Baltimore decided to tag former MVP Jackson a non-exclusive franchise, which opens the door for him to negotiate with other teams and possibly leave Raven.

There may be a method to Baltimore's madness as many rival teams are expecting an outcome specific to Jackson's situation. But the Ravens could easily leave this rocky road behind them just by hearing the ice cream and paying the man.
