Crows get the QB of the future in the latest blockbuster commercial scenario

The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly not 100% sold for the quarterback type in the 2023 NFL draft, and the Baltimore Ravens appear hesitant to give quarterback Lamar Jackson the kind of big deal he's been looking for.

Luckily, The Athletic's Dane Brugler has a solution for both teams that he revealed in his latest mock draft, in which the Colts swapped the final 4th pick plus an extra slot. into the future round one to Baltimore for Jackson. Brugler then believes Raven will pick Florida's Anthony Richardson for fourth overall.

“'Exchanging' Lamar Jackson by signing him to an offer that Raven doesn't fit would be an expensive proposition, obviously, but Jackson is a proven commodity who will very happy in Shane Steichen's offense,” Brugler wrote. “He would immediately make the Colts a candidate for a deep playoff spot. As for Raven, they would trade a proven playmaker talent in midfield for a potential playmaker. But they will also reset the midfield clock and maintain the financial flexibility to build on the rest of the roster, which is a top priority for the organization.”

Jackson will probably solve Indianapolis's biggest problem - a consistent, reliable pick in the center. The team has used 11 different midfielders since 2015 and has had a different starting midfielder each season since Andrew Luck retired after the 2018 season.

The move will also keep Raven from paying the alleged $200 million Jackson is said to be looking for and get them a player on a team-friendly rookie contract with a similar skill set to Jackson.
